Asia Beauty Awards
Celebrating excellence across the world's largest and most innovative beauty market
The World's Beauty Powerhouse
Asia is not merely the world's largest beauty market — it is the engine driving global beauty innovation. Valued at over $180 billion and accounting for more than half of global beauty consumption, the Asian beauty market operates at a scale and speed that no other region can match.
The K-Beauty revolution from South Korea has fundamentally transformed how the world thinks about skincare. The ten-step routine, sheet masks, glass skin, snail mucin serums, and cushion compacts are all Korean innovations that are now global beauty staples. Korean brands like Laneige, Innisfree, COSRX and Dr. Jart+ have achieved genuine international cult status, and South Korean celebrities and dermatologists are among the most trusted beauty voices worldwide.
Japan's J-Beauty philosophy offers a compelling counterpoint — meticulous ingredient purity, restraint, and a focus on long-term skin health rather than instant transformation. Japanese brands like SK-II, Shiseido, Tatcha and Hada Labo have built loyal global followings through decades of clinical research and innovation in formulation technology.
India's ancient Ayurvedic tradition, now reimagined for modern consumers, is experiencing a global renaissance. Turmeric, ashwagandha, neem and sandalwood — ingredients that have been used for thousands of years in Indian beauty rituals — are now commanding premium shelf space in beauty retailers from London to Los Angeles. China's domestic beauty market, meanwhile, is the world's fastest-growing, fuelled by a massive and digitally sophisticated consumer base and the meteoric rise of domestic brands challenging Western heritage names. Southeast Asia — Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines — adds further depth, with unique tropical botanicals, distinctive skin concerns and a young, mobile-first beauty consumer who discovers and adopts trends at extraordinary speed.

Asia Beauty Awards — Frequently Asked Questions
Can beauty brands from any Asian country enter the Asia Beauty Awards?
Yes. Any legally registered beauty brand, salon, clinic, professional or organisation operating in Asia is eligible to nominate. This includes brands from South Korea, Japan, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and all other Asian territories.
Do I need to be based in South Korea or Japan to win an Asia Beauty Award?
Not at all. While K-Beauty and J-Beauty attract significant global attention, the Asia Beauty Awards celebrates excellence from every Asian market equally — from India's Ayurvedic beauty traditions to Southeast Asia's tropical ingredient innovations and China's expansive domestic beauty ecosystem.
Will my nomination be judged in English or can I submit in an Asian language?
Nominations should be submitted in English to ensure equitable assessment by our international judging panel. However, supporting materials such as product packaging, brand collateral and regional media coverage may be in local languages — our regional judges can accommodate this.
Is there an Asia-specific category for K-Beauty or J-Beauty brands?
The award categories are structured by product type and business type rather than country of origin. K-Beauty brands typically compete in categories such as Best Skincare Brand, Best Sheet Mask Product, Best Serum and Best Innovation in Skincare. J-Beauty brands often excel in categories covering minimalist skincare, suncare and technology-driven formulations.
Where is the World Beauty Awards Gala Ceremony held for Asia nominees?
All regional winners attend the central World Beauty Awards Gala Ceremony held annually in Dubai, UAE. Dubai's position as a global hub makes it highly accessible for Asian nominees travelling from Seoul, Tokyo, Mumbai, Singapore and other Asian cities. Nominees are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
Can a brand that sells both in Asia and internationally still nominate under the Asia region?
Yes. Brands that were founded in Asia, primarily manufacture in Asia, or whose core identity and heritage are rooted in Asian beauty traditions are welcome to nominate under the Asia region, regardless of whether they also sell in other markets globally.
